Marking World Environment Day 2026, Alliance Finance Company PLC partnered with the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Headquarters to support a nationwide tree planting programme aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and conservation across Sri Lanka.
As part of this initiative, Alliance Finance donated 10,200 plants, including mango, mee and coconut saplings, which will be distributed and planted at various locations throughout the country. The programme seeks to enhance green cover, encourage biodiversity, and contribute to long-term environmental preservation.
The official plant distribution ceremony was held on 05 June 2026 at the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters. The event was attended by the Commander of the Army and senior Army officials, together with Mr. Romani de Silva, Deputy Chairman / Managing Director of Alliance Finance PLC, and representatives of the Company.
Speaking on the occasion, Alliance Finance reaffirmed its commitment to creating a positive environmental impact through sustainable initiatives that benefit communities and future generations. The partnership reflects the Company's continued focus on environmental stewardship, supporting national efforts towards reforestation, climate resilience, and ecological conservation.
Through this large-scale tree planting programme, Alliance Finance continues to strengthen its sustainability journey while encouraging collective action towards building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable Sri Lanka.
